Policy Analyst, Engery Resource Analysis Section, Energy Department, Utility Operations Division, Reference Number - UO0101209

The Missouri Public Service Commission is seeking a Policy Analyst.  This position will primarily be involved with reviewing, analyzing and reporting of utility and state regulatory commission best practices concerning Smart Grid technology, renewable energy resources and demand-side management programs. Other duties will include systematic monitoring of dockets, notices of inquiry and working on integrated resource plans, rulemakings and other regulatory actions.    This position is being established as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) with the expected duration of up to four years.    

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in research, engineering, economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration or closely related field; and five years of relevant professional experience, of which three years must have been in a utility or regulatory environment. Graduate work in the specified areas may be substituted for a portion of the required experience.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer proficiency also required.
